Feb. 21st, 2006 @ 02:54 am My Intro!
Hi! I just joined this community, so I thought I would introduce myself. :)

My names Lauren and I'm 19 years old. I've been practicing a mixture of Native American Shamanism and Witchcraft for the past four years now. I was introduced to Paganism through my best friend and her mother. They hold monthly drumming circles at their home and plan women’s retreats. Check out her great website: www.shamanmoon.org

I am so glad that the Goddess is in my life, she brings me so much joy and happiness. I was raised in a very Jewish household and, therefore, practiced the Jewish faith. When I was in my teens however, I realized that that faith was not for me. I couldn't relate at all to the God presented in the Old Testament. I was going to give up on religion all together, until I met my best friend and she introduced me to the wisdom of the Goddess. While I no longer practice the Jewish faith, I still see it as my heritage, and I respect it in that way.

When I told my mother that I was a Pagan, she was happy for me. She told me that as long as I was happy, she didn't care what religion I practiced. I haven't told my dad yet, though, because I know that he would make way to big of a deal out of it and get my grandparents involved.

I seem to have written my life story, so I'll stop rambling now, lol. I hope to get to know everyone here! :)

I'm new here. My name is Marie. I'm 17 and from Boston. I am very much interested in Paganism and wicca, but I don't yet know enough about it to convert yet.
Hm..I'm not sure what else to say. I'm always really bad at introductions.

Hi guys, this question popped into my mind last night and I thought that maybe someone would have an answer/suggestion for me. Okay, I'm still in the process of deciding if I want to become pagan or not and I wanted to ask anyone who has decided to be and told their parents, how would you go about it? Any suggestions? My parents are pretty open about stuff, but my mom doesn't really think paganism is a religion and my dad was raised as a Catholic but he's not a strict Catholic (he doesn't go to church but he does pray every once in a while). So any suggestions would be most appreciated, and if you have any sites, books, whatever that might help me decide they would be welcome too!

Peace out,
Tyger :)

I only recently created a blog and I found this group today. Out of all the Wiccan/Pagan groups I've found, this one seems the kindest and most open.

I found out about Wiccan about a year ago, through a bookmark on teen websites at the library. At first I was simply intrigued and so I did a lot more research on it, but the more research I did, the more easily I found that I could believe the teachings of Wiccan. After a month or two of almost nonstop research, I decided that I would consider myself Wiccan, and I drew a pentagram on my wrist with a tattoo pen. That was probably the stupidest mistake I have ever made and my mother freaked out, threatening to send me to an all-girls, private, Christian reform school at least two states away. I was mortified and swore to her that I wasn't Wiccan and that I would never even look at Wiccan things again.
Since then I have started my own Book of Shadows, done a lot more research, and even done a dedication ritual. Unfortuanately, I do not count the dedication ritual as successful, or even as what it really was, because when I did it the immature part of my mind took over and thought it was all so 'silly' that I couldn't take it seriously. I also did not truley complete it, out of tiredness ( which is no excuse, in my opinion, but it was half a year ago... :/ )

For a short while I did research into Christian-Wiccan, but there was still to much that I disagreed with in Christianity.

My name is Amanda, and my spiritual name is Nobara ( japanese, meaning Wild Rose ). At this point in my life though, I am changing greatly and constantly, and Nobara is only my name for this change. Whether or not it stays with me is up to Fate, and myself.

I'm a freshman in highschool, in all honors classes, senior girls choir, theatre troupe ( as a technician or an actress... It depends >.< ), and I am looking into joining band next semester. ^^
My intrests are anime, manga, reading/writing, learning, drawing... And I'm afraid I'm a bit of a geek >.< : I love algebra, computer programming, a bit of hacking, videogames and all that good stuff...
It's all good though ^.~

Hello I'm new to this community I am not wiccan nor am I a pagan. I'm a witch plan and simple. I don't follow all the fluffy harm none wiccan rede stuff. I been a witch all my life since I was born. And have developed skills over the years. I can do things people believe are make belief because my magic has been passed down through my family for centuries. I can read minds, move things with my mind. I can make it rain and manipulate energy. I can see aura and astral project. I have read every book there is on witchcraft including my families private collection. I know which authors are fake and which are the real deal. I have met other real witches and I have met wannabes and fakes. This is who I am and will always be. If you have any questions your more than welcome to ask.

Blessed Be.
